haring his skills, training, and knowledge with others, Dr. Shumway is a multi-international cosmetic surgery speaker, instructor, faculty, and lecturer in Europe, South Korea, India, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Tanzania, Mexico, and Canada. Dr. Shumway has six major university educations and affiliations with BYU, ASU, Arizona, Duke, UCLA, and UCSD as a past surgical attending or surgical instructor.
Dr. Shumway is well-known for performing the transumbilical breast augmentation (TUBA) implant placement technique, which is a unique way of inserting saline breast implants through the navel without scarring the breast. Only a handful of surgeons in the country are skilled at this procedure, and Dr. Shumway was the first surgeon to perform the TUBA in Europe in the summer of 2018.
