Dr. Alvina Won
I am a board certified general surgeon and became interested in cosmetic surgery a bit later in my career. I had the opportunity to spend a year with Dr.Mangubat in an AACS fellowship which I recently completed in July 2019. It was an amazing experience working with a very talented surgeon and I’ve grown exponentially as a surgeon. My interests are primarily with cosmetic surgeries of the body especially the post-bariatric and transgender patient population. I find this work extremely gratifying and interesting, and hope to practice in this capacity for many years to come.
I grew up in California, where I completed my education at the University of California, Los Angeles followed by medical school at the University of California, San Diego. I then completed my general surgery training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, with additional fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery at SUNY Upstate. After marrying, my husband and I moved to Yakima WA where I practiced general surgery while starting a family. We ultimately moved to Seattle WA where I developed an interest in cosmetic surgery and decided I was ready for a pivot in my career.
